Landing Options: Anywhere along the path you just walked
Advantages: Magnificent desert scenery. In the appropriate south wind, one can soar along the north face of the crater. In case of no wind – the north wall of the crater always generates anabatic wind. In case no flying condition – hitchhike back to the car from the village is easy. Easy landing on the path close to the car
Disadvantages: South wind is not common
Caution: In case of wind above 20kmh – takeoff from mount Gamal can be challenging. If soaring along the north wall toward the east - watch out the power lines above the main road
